Petroleum storage tank (PST) systems in
Texas are regulated by Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality
(TCEQ) technical standards and other
requirements.
CRG Texas provides compliance
inspections of petroleum storage tank
(PST) systems for owners and operators
to facilitate compliance with the EPA and
TCEQ rules and standards.
Underground Storage Tank (UST) and
Aboveground Storage Tank (AST)
systems are required to have overfill,
overspill, and release detection, and
equipment installed and maintained in
accordance with TCEQ requirements.
Owners and operators of PST systems
are also required to maintain records for
system maintenance, inventory control,
and release detection and other items.

Testing and inspections are performed to
periodically check if the system is in
compliance with the current TCEQ PST
regulations, and also the check for
releases that may have occured (or
potentially may occur). CRG Texas
personnel are experienced in performing
compliance inspections in accordance
with the rules published by the TCEQ.
The TCEQ has also promulgated rules
for soil and groundwater assessment
during tank removal, replacement, and
assessment activities. CRG Texas
provides assessments for installations
and removals of UST and AST Systems.
CRG Texas performs release
determination and reporting, and
provides quality control inspections
according to Project Plans and
Specifications during construction or
removal from service during construction.
