Project Spotlight: UTS Removal in Port Arthur, Texas

Scope of Work

This Project consisted of the permanent removal of One (1) 550-Gallon, Two (2) 6,000-Gallon & One (1) 8,000- Gallon underground petroleum storage tanks (USTs) and fuel piping (no dispensers present).

In accordance with the TCEQ Regulatory Guidance document RG-411, we collected the necessary soil and fluid samples to draft the TCEQ UST Closure Report.

The TCEQ sampling, analysis, and reporting are based on the number and size of the UST, the estimated length of piping, and number of dispensers used at the facility.

The excavations were be backfilled to match existing grade using select fill and compacted using onsite equipment.
